Castillo was established as a Kuwaiti brand specialized in gasoline and diesel engine oils.
We have ensured that Castillo’s oil family include a wide range of high-quality products. In a short period of time, we have become one of the leading companies exporting to several countries. Our brand (Castillo) and its subsidiaries are unique in the quality of their products, as all the products have undergone laboratory tests.
Since the Arabian Gulf region is characterized by a hot and dry climate in the summer, Kuwait in particular, temperature is the highest, exceeding 50 degrees Celsius, this requires special specifications for engine oils. Therefore, the Arabian Gulf countries have adopted specific specifications for car engine oils as binding technical controls. Therefore, the Environment Authority stamps every shipment exported outside Kuwait.
Viscosity is the most important factor that must be present in engine oil, and that is why the technical team was keen to ensure that the viscosity level is high this allows and facilitates the mechanical movement of engines, machines and gives engines greater ability to withstand high temperature and pressure.
The “base number” and “acid number” factors are also taken into consideration, as the former is considered as the primary measure of the degree to which the oil absorbs alkaline substances, which leads to the neutralization of acids.
The “acid number” leads to the oil absorbing acidic substances.
